APPROACH NOTES
Enter Resurrection Bay from the south. Watch for Alaska Marine Highway ferries — they have right-of-way. Tidal range is 14–18 ft; plan arrivals around slack water if drafting deeper than 12 ft. Call Seward Harbormaster on VHF 16 for transient slip assignment. Guest float (Z-Float) is on the north side of the main basin. Surge can be significant in south winds — use doubled lines and fenders. Commercial fishing boats have priority during Silver Salmon Derby (August).
