APPROACH NOTES
Enter Passage Canal from Prince William Sound heading east-northeast. Harbor is on the south shore — look for the petroleum terminal (large tanks) as a landmark; harbor is just west. Call Whittier Harbormaster on VHF 16. Guest float is 'E' Dock, outer face. Williwaw winds (sudden violent gusts) can occur without warning, especially Oct–Mar — double all lines. Cell service is limited; VHF 16 is your primary communication. Tunnel schedule: Anton Anderson Tunnel alternates car/rail every 30 min — check schedule for land crew/parts.
